Operative text:
"Use of metal detectors in State Parks and State Historical Parks is expressly prohibited except as herein provided."
Permitted year-round at designated state recreation area swimming beaches posted as open, with a 6:00-9:00 a.m. restriction from 22 May to 7 September. Hand-held devices only; hand tools capped at twelve inches by four.
Scope: State Parks, State Historical Parks and State Recreation Areas – Game and Parks Commission property.
Determination: state park land only. Does NOT reach municipal parks.
