Operative text:
"It shall be unlawful for any person to use any metal detection device in any State Park without permission from the Park Manager."
Scope: Alabama State Parks, administered by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Division of State Parks. Statutory authority Code of Alabama 1975, sections 9-2-3, 9-2-9 and 9-2-12.
Determination: state parks only. Does NOT reach municipal parks.
Note the shape: this is a conditional ban, not a flat one – permission from the Park Manager makes it lawful. Classified permit_required, not prohibited.
